"When the job went wrong you went back to the beginning" - The princess bride.
Sometimes in success, I think we start to analyze how we can be MORE successful. I think that's what I've been doing since January - adding Bootcamp, and then with going non-processed. But neither thing has made me any more successful than I was.
I did go 18 out of 19 days being non-processed and I am committed to eating a healthy diet, but what I started doing is eating nuts. Lots and lots of nuts. And homemade bread. Lots of homemade bread. It's not working for me.
So I am going back to the beginning. Back to what I've been doing for so long that has been working. Drinking my gallon of water per day. Eating the basic things that I was eating. It's okay that it's going slower. I don't need to change. I just need to keep doing what works.
Success is where you find it, and it's wise to know where that was. It sounds like you do.
ReplyDeleteNuts and bread are a great thing, as long as eaten in moderation. But there are lots of other non-processed foods you could eat instead... fruit and vegetables, for example. ^^ Sometimes we use a "good change" as an excuse to eat calorie-dense (and hence more tempting) food, our subconscious loves to cheat on our best intentions...
ReplyDeleteThis is so true, and exactly how I,ve been thinking the past couple of days. Then I remember...there is no magic. Calories in vs calories out. Now to make one less than the other so that you don't catch up with me in weight. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou're inspiring!
I've heard it said here a number of times that the key is to find the thing that works for you and stick to it. And when you try something new that doesnt work...dont stick to it. You are still doing the right things here. listening to your body and knowing what works for you
ReplyDeleteHello! I found your blog today through The Opposite of Thin blog! I also write a diet blog, I'm based in Sydney, Australia. I thought we could exchange ideas and motivate each other!
ReplyDeleteHello? Are you on vacation? Stopping by and noticing it's been a week since you posted. I hope you are well. :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. Sometimes what appears to work for everyone else doesn't always work for yourself.
